Dream Golf Holidays Heads to the IAGTO European Convention

Dream Golf Holidays is delighted to again be heading to the 2026 IAGTO European Convention in Malaga, one of the most important events in the golf travel calendar. Before the main convention begins, we’ll be taking part in a special pre-fam trip to Girona, giving us the chance to experience some of the very best golf in Catalonia ahead of our meetings.

Girona is a region that combines outstanding golf with a truly memorable travel experience, and this pre-fam will showcase exactly why it deserves a place on your golfing radar. During the trip, we’ll be playing Empordà, Golf d’Aro, and Camiral - home of the 2031 Ryder Cup.

As well as these special courses, we will be staying at and visiting some of the finest resorts in the area to be able to provide first-hand recommendations to you.

Girona Golf Highlights

Empordà is one of the standout names in the area and offers a classic Catalan golf experience, with a layout that reflects the natural beauty and character of the Costa Brava region. Golf d’Aro brings a different test and another strong reason to explore this part of Spain, adding variety and depth to the itinerary. Camiral, meanwhile, is a genuine headline venue, with official confirmation that it will stage the 2031 Ryder Cup, making it one of the most exciting golf destinations in Europe.

That Ryder Cup connection adds a special layer to the visit. The resort’s selection underlines its status as one of Spain’s premier golf destinations and gives players the chance to see a course with enormous significance for the future of European golf.

Why This Trip Matters

For us at Dream Golf Holidays, this trip is about more than simply attending an industry convention. It’s an opportunity to deepen our knowledge, strengthen relationships, and experience firsthand the kind of golf holidays we love to create for you. Being able to combine the business side of IAGTO with a quality golf programme in Girona makes the journey especially valuable.

Spain is already at the heart of the European golf holiday scene, but opportunities to reinvigorates our love for what Spain has on offer can’t be turned down. When we see the courses, the hotels, the setting, and the overall experience for ourselves, this allows us to translate that experience back to you and truly deliver recommendations based on that passion.

Looking Ahead

We’re looking forward to a productive and enjoyable few days in Spain, with the pre-fam in Girona setting the tone perfectly for the IAGTO European Convention in Malaga. With great golf, strong industry connections, and the chance to experience one of Europe’s most exciting golfing venues, hotels and resorts, it promises to be a memorable trip.
